About Venucia

Venucia is a Chinese electric vehicle and new energy brand originally established in 2010 as a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Nissan. Initially conceived to localize Nissan's technology for the Chinese market, Venucia has since evolved into an independent brand focused on affordable, high-quality EVs designed for mass adoption. The name "Venucia," derived from "Venus," symbolizes beauty, innovation, and sustainable progress—reflecting the brand's mission to make clean mobility accessible to a wide audience across China's rapidly urbanizing regions.

In its early years, Venucia focused on adapting proven Nissan architectures for the domestic NEV (New Energy Vehicle) segment, launching its first models such as the e30 (a localized version of the Nissan Leaf) and the D60 EV. These vehicles built consumer trust through Nissan's well-established reputation for reliability while helping Dongfeng gain a foothold in the fast-growing electric compact car market. Over time, Venucia expanded its product range to include sedans, crossovers, and MPVs, each incorporating gradual improvements in battery range, charging speed, and intelligent connectivity.

Venucia's current generation of vehicles is built around Dongfeng's in-house EV platform technologies, emphasizing lightweight structures, efficient motor systems, and digital cockpit integration. The brand has invested heavily in smart connectivity through Baidu Apollo and Huawei-powered infotainment systems, enabling advanced voice interaction, OTA software upgrades, and AI-assisted navigation. Its latest models, including the Venucia V-Online and Venucia VX6, showcase a sharper design language and next-generation L2+ driver assistance features, signaling the brand's shift from budget-oriented to tech-forward mobility.

Manufacturing for Venucia vehicles is based in Guangzhou, where the company operates advanced production lines with a focus on automation and quality assurance. Dongfeng Nissan's supply chain strength provides Venucia with stable access to key components, including batteries and power electronics from top-tier domestic suppliers such as CATL. The brand's mid-term strategy aligns with China's dual-carbon goals and the broader transition to intelligent electrification, aiming to expand into export markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Through this evolution, Venucia embodies the hybrid DNA of Japanese engineering discipline and Chinese innovation—positioning itself as a bridge between legacy automaking and the emerging intelligent EV ecosystem.
