About Smart
Smart is a global electric vehicle brand jointly operated by Mercedes-Benz and Geely Holding. Originally founded in 1994 by Swatch and Mercedes-Benz to produce microcars, Smart was reborn in 2019 as an all-electric marque targeting premium urban EVs with compact footprints and intelligent features.
The brand's current lineup includes the Smart #1 and #3, built on Geely's SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform. These vehicles combine European design by Mercedes-Benz with advanced electric technology from Geely, offering 66 kWh battery packs, dual-motor performance up to 315 kW, and up to 440 kilometers of WLTP range.
Smart's design language blends aerodynamic efficiency with digital elegance, featuring minimalist cabins, large infotainment screens, and AI-based connectivity. The brand is expanding production in China and exports to Europe, positioning itself as a stylish and practical EV choice for urban buyers.
Pure Electric Identity
Smart is a pure-play electric brand under the Mercedes-Benz and Geely joint venture. All future Smart vehicles will be battery electric, combining precision German design, advanced Chinese manufacturing, and intelligent digital ecosystems for global urban mobility.
