About ONVO
ONVO (LeDao Auto) is a premium electric vehicle sub-brand created by NIO Inc., officially launched in 2024. Designed to complement NIO's flagship lineup, ONVO focuses on delivering intelligent, family-oriented electric vehicles that balance technology, practicality, and affordability. The name "ONVO" is derived from "On Voyage," reflecting the brand's emphasis on comfort, companionship, and long-distance electric travel for everyday life.
The brand's first model, the ONVO L60, debuted in May 2024 as a midsize electric SUV positioned below NIO's ES6 and priced to compete directly with the Tesla Model Y and BYD Song Plus. Built on NIO's next-generation NT3.0 platform, the L60 features an 800-volt architecture, advanced silicon-carbide power electronics, and a low drag coefficient of just 0.229- one of the lowest in its class. It is offered with multiple battery options (60 kWh, 90 kWh, and 150 kWh solid-state configurations), providing ranges from approximately 550 to over 1,000 kilometers (CLTC). Like NIO models, the L60 supports battery swapping through NIO's nationwide Power Swap Station network, giving it a major convenience advantage in China's EV market.
The ONVO L60's cabin emphasizes intelligent comfort and minimalist design, featuring a panoramic cockpit layout, floating center display, and full integration with NIO's software ecosystem. The vehicle is powered by NIO's latest NX operating system and includes Level 2+ intelligent driving assistance using LiDAR, 8-megapixel cameras, and NVIDIA Orin-based processors. Interior features such as N-Pilot assist, AI-based voice control, and OTA updates are standard, ensuring continuous performance and safety improvements over time.
While ONVO shares NIO's engineering, battery, and service infrastructure, it operates as a separate brand with its own identity and customer experience model. Its target audience consists primarily of younger families seeking high safety, efficiency, and connectivity at a more accessible price point than NIO's luxury lineup. Future ONVO models are expected to include a sedan and a compact crossover, all built on the NT3.0 platform to maintain compatibility with NIO's energy ecosystem.
ONVO vehicles are manufactured alongside NIO's main product line at the company's Hefei production facilities, with shared quality control, supply chain, and after-sales support. The brand plays a strategic role in NIO's broader growth plan, helping it expand market share into China's high-volume mainstream EV segment and establishing a foundation for future exports.
Pure Electric Identity
ONVO is a pure-play electric automaker, developing all vehicles and technologies exclusively for zero-emission mobility. With the L60 as its first model, built on NIO's advanced NT3.0 architecture and supported by a battery-swapping ecosystem, ONVO delivers premium-grade technology and intelligent performance in an accessible, family-focused electric SUV platform.
