About JMC
JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation, Ltd.) is a Chinese automotive manufacturer headquartered in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, specializing in commercial vehicles, pickups, and light trucks. Founded in 1968, JMC operates as a key joint venture partner of Ford Motor Company and is partly owned by Changan Automobile. The brand is known for its focus on durable, utility oriented vehicles for logistics, industrial, and fleet markets, with growing investment in new energy commercial and passenger vehicles.
JMC's electrification strategy covers both battery electric and hybrid powertrains under its JMC New Energy division. The company produces a range of electric logistics vans, light trucks, and passenger MPVs designed for urban delivery and fleet applications. Notable models include the JMC Conquer EV light truck, JMC E Transit van, and JMC Yi EV MPV, which are sold primarily within China's domestic market and through export programs in Asia, South America, and Africa. These vehicles utilize in house developed electric drivetrains and battery systems sourced from major suppliers such as CATL.
As part of its partnership with Ford Motor Company, JMC also produces electrified variants of the Ford Transit and Yusheng SUVs for China, aligning with Ford's broader EV strategy. The collaboration allows JMC to share technical expertise and manufacturing efficiency, particularly in the development of electric light commercial vehicles and connected fleet solutions.
