IM Motors (Intelligent Mobility Motors) is a premium electric vehicle brand jointly founded by SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang Hi Tech in 2020. Headquartered in Shanghai, IM represents SAIC's flagship intelligent electric mobility initiative, combining advanced electrification with artificial intelligence, cloud connectivity, and data driven design. The brand's mission is to merge high performance EV engineering with next generation digital ecosystems, targeting the luxury and technology centric segment of China's EV market.

IM Motors' lineup includes the IM L7 luxury sedan, the IM LS6 mid size electric SUV, and the IM LS7 flagship crossover. Built on SAIC's dedicated IMOS EV architecture and powered by the brand's proprietary IM AD autonomous driving platform, these vehicles feature high output dual motor systems, 900 volt electrical architectures, and long range battery packs supplied by CATL. The L7 and LS7 both offer intelligent air suspension, advanced aerodynamics, and ranges exceeding 600 kilometers, while the LS6 focuses on dynamic performance with a minimalist digital interior.

One of IM's signature innovations is its IM AD Intelligent Drive system, which uses NVIDIA Orin X chips, high precision LiDAR, and multi sensor fusion for advanced driver assistance and semi autonomous operation. The vehicles run on the IM OS software platform, developed in collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, enabling continuous over the air updates, AI personalization, and integration with Alibaba's smart ecosystem. The brand also incorporates unique features such as a retractable central touchscreen and high speed data communication architecture.

IM Motors has positioned itself as a rival to NIO, XPeng, and Tesla in China's high tech premium EV segment. The brand's vehicles are manufactured by SAIC at dedicated facilities in Shanghai, with expanding export plans for Europe and select global markets beginning in 2025.
