About Cupra

Cupra is a Spanish performance automotive brand under the Volkswagen Group, created as a standalone marque from SEAT in 2018. Headquartered in Martorell, near Barcelona, Cupra was established to represent the sportier and more design focused side of SEAT, blending performance, electrification, and Mediterranean style. The brand's name derives from "Cup Racing," reflecting its motorsport heritage and ambition to bring emotional, driver centric performance to the new generation of electric mobility.

Cupra's lineup includes a mix of performance oriented plug in hybrid and fully electric vehicles. Core models such as the Formentor and Leon demonstrate the brand's initial transition to electrified drivetrains, while the Cupra Born represents its first fully electric production vehicle. Built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, the Born shares architecture with the VW ID.3 but features sport tuned suspension, enhanced styling, and premium materials that deliver a distinct identity and driving character.

The brand's future product roadmap is centered around full electrification, with upcoming models including the Cupra Tavascan, a performance electric SUV coupe, and the Cupra Raval, an urban compact EV inspired by Barcelona's youthful energy. Both vehicles will utilize advanced versions of the MEB and MEB Small platforms, integrating long range batteries, 400 volt fast charging capability, and connected infotainment powered by Volkswagen Group's latest software systems.

Cupra combines motorsport inspired performance with progressive design and sustainability, emphasizing locally sourced materials, recycled composites, and digital customization. Its growing presence in European and global markets positions it as one of Volkswagen Group's most dynamic sub brands. Through its bold styling, driver engagement, and commitment to electrified performance, Cupra is redefining what a modern European performance brand represents in the electric era.
